All members are required to adhere to The Holistic Grooming Academy Ethical Pledge to safeguard the integrity of the organisation and to ensure that no animal falls victim to outdated and harmful ideologies, methods and/or approach.
We pledge to:
use positive-based methods of training and communication in our relationships with animals.
never intentionally cause harm, stress and/or pain to an animal in our care.
continue to seek out the most up-to-date information in all relevant topics that may influence the way I care for animals.
strive towards achieving low-stress by never forcing an animal into something that may cause psychological and/or physical harm.
support and champion our peers and actively seek to work with other positive-based pet professionals.

FAQ
Do I have unlimited access once registered?
Yes. Once you have registered, you will be able to access the resource hub content as many times as you want for the duration of your subscription. More content will be added on a regular basis as part of our commitment to providing our students and members with updated educational content.
Are membership resources up-to-date?
Yes! We continue to invest in hiring reputable and well-respected pet industry experts to host webinars, workshops and Q&A's covering a broad range of topics relevant to your role.
It is the responsibility of our members however, to make the most of these opportunities by attending them live or watching them back on replay.
Can I cancel the membership?
If you cancel your membership within the first 14-days of subscribing you are able to receive a refund minus our admin fee, after which you may cancel your membership anytime but please note you may not receive a refund for any money's paid up until this point.
Do I have to attend webinars live?
We encourage all members to attend at least 80% of our live webinars and workshops so that they can get the most out of them. If members are unable to attend an event live we ask that they send in any questions they have well in advance for forthcoming speakers instead.
However, all of our events are recorded and available to watch back anytime.
How do I know that other members are practicing ethically?
It's incredibly difficult to guarantee that all members are following our very strict code of ethics and we rely on trusting an individual. However, we have mystery shoppers who occasionally visit members' business pages and we also have a support e-mail that can be contacted should a person witness a member of the HGA breach of those ethic. Any member seen to be in breach of our ethics will be removed from our community immediately pending a fair and thorough investigation into the allegation. Equally, should a member feel they have been wrongly accused of breaching our ethics, we have an 'appeal' policy in place to ensure that all necessary steps are taken to ensure an individual is not targeted unfairly.
What if I decide I would like to enrol on the Diploma?
We would love to have you! Members who have been subscribed with us for over 6-months are eligible for an exclusive discount onto our Accredited Diploma should they decide they would like to join.
Upon successful enrolment, members will also receive free monthly access to the membership as part of their investment and will no longer be required to pay the monthly membership fee for the duration of their studies.
What do I get to show for being a member?
All members will receive a high-resolution logos for their promotional and marketing materials. Our logos demonstrate an unwavering commitment to the ethical treatment of animals, as well as the member's dedication to ongoing professional development. Our logo is recognised in various countries and within various animal welfare organisations.
